Thank you to ISPOR Australia Chapter for hosting the HTA Harmonisation Workshop yesterday in Sydney.
The interactive panel discussions highlighted the lack of harmony in HTA between national and state/territory jurisdictions. The journey for a cell and gene therapy, including CAR-T therapy, from a positive PBAC/MSAC recommendation to actual implementation in public hospitals is lengthy and challenging. Meanwhile, patients are waiting.
Let’s continue the conversation to drive the innovation process forward. It’ll require a collaborative effort across industry, patient groups, federal and state levels to bring about positive change.
